I was thinking about getting some of these off fleabay. I was wondering what you guys thought of them if any of you have got a set and if there would be any advantage to getting some over my standard crappy ones on at the minute.
Ive got add a leaf but thats all

They are 1990 vauxhal astra shocks part number is GSA20180 a whole £13 each from a motor factors and the adapter bar for the rear can be made with a bit of angle and 10 minutes of your time.
So yeah worth every penny of £120

I've got astra shocks on mine. They seem to go quite well with harder springs, but they can be floppy with soft springs I think...

Vauxhall Astra MK2 (rear?) shocks. I think they vary slightly between models, the softest being the standard hatchback ones, then saloon, then van/estate and then the sport-ier SRi and GTE ones.
There's three ways of doing things:
The right way,
The wrong way
And my way, which is like the wrong way but faster.

Anybody know the min and max length of these?
Could be a cheapo solution to my rear shock absorber problem.
