Starting Issue
Starting Issue
Having problem with starting, it does start first time but as soon as key is released it cuts out. Any Ideas ?. SJ 410

my sj410 had same proble twice first time dirty connections on the spade connectors on the coil and cleaned all those and the the plastic multiplug near the coil the about a year later exactly same as yours would only run with the key turn believe it our notcheck you fuses there is a separate fuse on the sj for the ignition not sure which the fuse hadnt blown just a dirty connection jus unplug all fuses and clean them its definately one of those i would stake my reputation let me know what it was tony in 38 degrees cyprus have a nice day

check to see if you have an ignition light if not its the fuse

yes on the right under dash maybe a dirty connection just keep unpluging each one and plugging it back in and watch for the light coming on mine was just dirty but i repled it let me know thankyou tony
