Can i just ask though, on the top of each arch (on the original arch) there is a bit of metal that sticks up and attaches to the side of the tray. Do they do anything/provide any kind of support. As you have just cut yours out, and i haven't dared in case they're structural?
I reattached mine but I doubt they are required for strength. Handy for tucking a bog roll behind so it doesent get all muddy at a weekender.

Thanks Tim  Those have been removed by drilling out the spot welds and will be cut down and re-attached. don't think i bothered on the swb but with the extra length of the bed and the fact i'll be running a hardtop I decided to keep them on this one.

That would be awesome, main thing is that it's straight  I have another one I can cut a slot out of to repair it
