I know the transmission hole problem when fitting a 5 speed box to a 4 speed 410, but am unsure when doing an engine swap for a 1.3 as you have to move the engine mounts.

This thread may give you some idea http://forum.suzukiclubuk.co.uk/vi ... =12&t=3855

I'll go and measure my shaft  ;)

That's grand thanks, mine is about the same so ill just cut out the hole in the floor and try to heat up and bend the gear lever a bit straighter. Next issue, anyone know where this goes, didn't have one on the 410?

That's the vacuum pipe for the brake servo so just block it off.

Ah I see, ill do that then. Anyone fancy another question? Here's one anyway, the exhaust on my 410 was a 4-2-1 kinda thing, so had 2 exhaust coming off the manifold, the 413 engine is a single pipe, I'm thinking of doing away with the front silencer, would this be too loud you recon? Don't want to build it all if its going to fail on noise. And if so, anyone got a 413 front section for sale?

I've got my old Sammi one kicking about. I'd think it's the same.

You'll need to make a complete new exhaust system or get a 413 one really. The 410 exhaust is far to small for a 1.3

I'll replace the whole thing then, my current one is more patches than original exhaust so good reason to change it! I know this has been asked before but I can't find the thread anywhere, the little bolt that stops the gear lever spinning around, anyone know how long that needs to be, the one I took out of my old box had snapped so need to make a new one.

Yea rang em about 20 mins ago, 1.98 +vat not gonna argue. Got the engine started for the first time last night! Without air filter or exhaust it sounds gorgeous....illegal, but lovely! Need to get the clutch cable back on tonight and see if she'll move!
