Can you get some info on the pump first, make, model, any numbers you can find.

You can't turn the pressure down however you can fit an in line pressure regulator but they aren't the most reliable things! Do you not have the original mechanical fuel pump still? Why not just use that if you have?

I got a couple of 1.3 mech pumps
Sid James gone but never forgotten
Jimny 1.6 not as good as an SJ but still good

Sorry to sound dumb but what did you have on it before the SU, as it is a later model.
I've just read some other posts and it's a 95. Not using the injection pump are you :er: :er:

it had the auto choke carb, i believe it has the injection pump on it, but ive been told if i take the fuse out for the eltric pump and fit a facet pump it should work simialr to what that had in the old minis etc

Injection pump pressure is way to high at 38psi according to the manual. I don't see how the old carb put up with that though :er: . A facet pump would work fine normally but I don't know if it can draw fuel past the existing pump or if it can push it through the injection filter. Hopefully someone has done this who can give you more advice :thumbup:
