transfer box bearing

transfer box bearing

my transfer box was making a horrible noise so i had a quick look and was pretty sure it was the bearing on the shaft behind the transmission brake (output rear) so i ordered said bearing and am going to attempt replacing it tomorrow.
can anyone give any advice on the easiest way to get to the bearing because i haven't got a clue when it comes to transfer boxes if i'm honest!

Not much help really but here's the workshop manual. Well the 413 anyway,think it's only the gear ratios that are different from the 410.

Also have a look at the rocklobster write up in the DIY section of the website, that details how to strip and rebuild the tbox with lots of pics
