The only query was(i think) the new fog is really a break light.

I originally had the fog on the passenger side but was told that it had to be only ds so it got changed over.

my santana rear clusters had the two rev lights and no fog built in it so i guess mine were not stock then?

But yeah i should think it would be where one of the rev light are on the jap clusters christoff

I split this discussion out from your build 4eye to keep your build a bit tidier.

Does it replace one of the reverse lights or something ?
Yup that is what I did, just rewired 1 reverse as a fog and changed the lenses.

I don't think it really matters that it was intended as a brake light lense, as long as it is on its own circuit that's all that matters.

... and remember it needs an indicator light to show that it's on :)

So just re route the wiring from the original fog up to the wiring for the extra reverse light? that way your using the same fog circuit just changing the position of the bulb effectively, the extra reverse wiring can be chopped and discarded and the lens changed to show red instead of white
