Post by martin1973 » Thu Jun 09, 2011 7:51 pm

1985 sj410q

so before my the headlights went dim when reving the engine.
new earth strap fitted, problem solved.

now i have the sj on the road i could smell the battery cooking/ over charging! :yuk:
so i checked the output voltage ok (13.5) at tick over but rev up 1000rpm +
and output voltage to between 16 -18volts?

think the regulator is shot :argh:
re soldered the connection just incase its a dry joint. but still same? :argh:

so is it possible to get the just regulator pack?
