Iv managed to get all the bare metal painted now, time to decide on the colour now, it will be a green of sorts.
I started fitting headlights and surrounds. The headlight guards have been sent off for powder coating. Whilst I'm deciding what paint I can do abit of wiring. Still need to find the temperature, alternator, horn wires to finish the wiring under the bonnet.

She sees daylight! I actually had abit of a drive down street in her and I'm impressed all things considered. Although if the Speedo is correct im in 4th gear at 25mph in high box
Couple of side by side shots with my turquoise SJ. Remember the wheelbase on the turquoise is 84" so you can see how much my green one has been stretched and we have tried to keep it as standard looking as possible.
Jimny plus 2 front on the front
Jimny standard front on the rear
Have tried some jimny plus 2 on rear but they feel too stiff. So it's same spring setups on both sjs, makes life abit easier.

Thanks! Ye I don't want to lose the SJ agility but gaining an extra 10/11" wheelbase will help loads off-road stability

A colour was chosen and paint has begun. It's not going to be a perfect job but a presentable job that I can use off-road and touch up as and when.

It was nice to give the old girl a wash after god knows how long. Not many more jobs to do now. Rear bumper is the main one but I think I'll just copy the bumper from the blue sj. The rear tub is very strong so a bumper is only for aesthetics and to hold the lights. Not a fan of lights in the rear tub, like them as close to oe as possible.
Still undecided wether to paint inside the rear tub green or black to replicate a bed liner

Sid James gone but never forgotten
Jimny 1.6 not as good as an SJ but still good

Thanks! Literally a random colour picked from a paint website and it's turned out quite alright.
Starting to price back together now. Made some snap fastenings for the roof so it's abit tighter and secure, will do for now. Both seats bolted in now. Rear bumper next to sort, and of course to finish painting, im just fed up of painting for now.

Exhaust not to everyone's taste but struggling to get it out the back with the suspension being in the way. Needs one more mount and then brackets painting. Led side repeaters on and wired. Slowly getting there. Hopefully another update tomorrow too
