Re: Kawazonkey
Yes Aaron I did. It's all in the prep work and technique. You can get amazing results with a spray can on smaller parts. For larger things (like an entire car) I use a compressor and a proper sprayer.
Sometimes lol.

Re: Kawazonkey
Had a problem fitting the new DID chain. I checked the number of links with the old one and they are the same but the thing just would not go on. So I tried putting the chain on the wheel then sliding the spindle through and it's on but way way too tight, no play in it at all so I am going to add an extra link from the old chain until it stretches a little, then remove it. The seat unit is now lacquered...

Re: Kawazonkey
Seat unit has the lights in and is back on the bike. Started painting the lower fairings now, looking good so far.
The front wheel has had new bearings and the new Pirelli is on. All to no avail as the bike shop spotted a dent on the rim. Luckily I have a dent free spare but all the allen bolts holding the disc on are rounded off. So I left it with them to sort it!

Re: Kawazonkey
Back on her own boots now...the exhaust is back on. The front wheel is the one with the dent in it but the bike shop have got the knackered bolts off the spare wheel so I will get that painted, then swap the bearings and tyre over and she's not got far to go. Finish painting the panels..and the tank, that's about it.

Cheers Tramp...more done, the nose fairing has been lacquered and the new screen is on too. Lower panels are all finished...just the middle ones to go...and the dent free front wheel is all ready too.

Re: Kawazonkey
I've finally got the tank stripped and ready for paint...the underneath is black as that is how it comes from the factory. The mudguard is done and is on. Middle section of the fairing will be done next. That part that is painted white is there for a reason!

Sort of, I'm a bit of a trainwreck at the moment. Only just able to tell which way is up...
