Yes that's the fuel filter.
As far as I can see your looking for what was/is the pink & black wire.

thanks Darrell,that mean I don't need a filter then,, when I went today and had a look there were a few pink wires, but I have bean doen a bit lookin about n its the relay with the green plug going into it so I will check for the pink/black wire on that one , thanks mate

You will need a fuel filter.
Injection systems normally use a filter after the pump.
I don't know if you could use the original filter before the new pump but I doubt it.
Yes the fuel pump relay is a green plug .

The fuel pump relay and main relay are the same, the fuel pump relay has the pink wires. The relays are usually marked 31850-80C10, which is actually a Samurai part number but they are a common part.
