Mud tyres

Post by chrisj410 » Fri Sep 13, 2013 3:33 pm

Anybody Running Yokohama geolander mt+? I love my saharas and can only get Yokos in the right size
I've been offered special tracks at a great price anyone running them? How are they on the sj drive train as I've seen them ruin vits and bland rovers,

Also anybody running a mud tyre they are just really impressed with?
I cant make up my mind,

Cheers guys

My next tyres will more than likely be Maxxis Trepadors, they are awesome off road and for an aggressive M/T they drive well on road as well.

Either that or maxxis Bighorn MT762s

As long as you drive sensibly with special track style tyres your drivetrain will survive

Well on the maxxis website they list 33s but I've only ever seen 31s and 35s for sale :er:

I was gonna step up to 35s

Haha :D that's what it's all about fella

Yeah? Your truck would look mean on 35s Scottie, You think the axles will be alright with 35s?
I was gonna play safe at 33 as everything is rated to 35s

How do you find the trepadors in deep mud?

My saharas don't slide at all and are so grippy it's just they don't make a 33, you have to go Yokohama and the price doubles :(
Im not to fussed about road manners as she won't do many Road miles, I've just seen special tracks break too many axles I like the sound of the maxxis though

Well there not bad in.deep mud but they are a bit worn

In.this pic it sort of struggled but no one has every been through this lane for a while so it was deep and it was really thick mud and I got stuck lol I have never had any problems on the road or greenlanes but some people at my local suzuki trial say they are crap in mud they get all clogged up in mud and then.they are shit but they are really quite compared to my mates vitara with 31 inch insa turbos
