2013 SCUK Meet?

Post by Jordi » Sun Dec 02, 2012 7:26 pm

I know that a few of you all live near ish to each other, particularly in the south west.

But what would we all think to a 2013 SCUK meet. Suzukis only and see whats costs would be involved in hiring a venue for a day or weekend. Harking back to the old Rhino Rally days?

Or if anyone knows much about green lane route planning, plan a full weekend of it with a couple of nights camping thrown in?

I'm open to travelling anywhere. Make it a payment up front so that the organiser doesnt lose out?

If there is enough interest i'd love the oppertunity to meet some of the SCUK folk. Compare Zuks.

Just an idea i thought i'd put out there.

I'm thinking arrival friday night and saterday morning. Camping friday and saterday night.

I live in co. durham, fairly sure there's a few in wiltshire and bristol bath area. Not an area i'm familiar with off road wise.

Something sort of june time?

All depends how far people are willing to travel. Green laning weekend wouldn't need so much booking in advance. Just a route planning and some where for an overnight stop.

Off road centre weekend would require payment up front, most places i know of have camping facilities available.

Where are we all at and how far would we travel?

I'm sure the Swindon boys are up for travelling, I certainly am! I want to go to kirton again too so maybe we could all head up there on one of the bank holiday weekends? I'd be towing a trailer full of spares, took me 3.5 hours to drive up there in the golf gti.

Is that Kirton Lindsey? If it is that's close to where I live.
There's three ways of doing things:

The right way,
The wrong way
And my way, which is like the wrong way but faster.

I don't mind doing some of the leg work for this. If people give some suggestions of places they know and love.

Its been a while (years) since i did the whole weekend thing so I have no idea what the prices would be like. So longs as prices arent too high, i was also thinking of tagging on another couple of quid and try and make the saterday night a *free* beer and barbecue.

Up here we have weardale off road, pea farm, wilton off road, robin hoods bay, furher south is kirton, parkwood off road.

It's a while since i've done them so i'd have to get out there and see what they were like now. Kirton and parkwood are about the biggest. Parkwood was great but it's been a while since i was there and i've never done kirton.

Suggestions. What do we want? How much do we want to pay? How far will we travel?

Thats the one Ed, kirton lincs.
