Hi guys i nearly have my 1.3 lump up and running now but i am not getting any sort of spark from my ht leads?.
I have put the new ignition coil in as well but cause she was a 410 she has a ballast resistor which i have kept on.
Can i still use the resistor with a 1.3 coil or do i need to bypass that, also it gets very hot.
I would be very grateful for any help thanks.

So have you got the 1.3 coil? If so don't run the ballast resistor.

The 1.0 and 1.3 coils have different resistances so must be used with the correct dizzy.

I presume the 1.3 you fitted has the electronic dizzy so no points?

If you unclip the distributor cap it should look like this--

As darrell says ;) ^^^^

Buuuuttt as yours was a 410 there could be a brown wire in the loom that used to be part of the ballast resistor wiring and not for the rev counter (if you have one?) so just leave that disconnected at both ends.
