Removing d-flex ?

Post by martynf » Mon Apr 13, 2009 10:46 pm

Hi guys,

My sammi is a pig to drive on road, no, I mean a PIG doesn't even come close! its awful!! :O
Its spring over axle with d-flex, the dflex just HAS to go!

So here's my question:

I remove the dlfex and fit what in their place front and rear??

What is the best thing to fit? standard shackles? or....

Thanks in advance

Standard shackles!

if you put extended shackles on it would kill your springs in a very short space of time! especialy as you are SPOA! it could also result in your SJ being very unstable, SPOA gives about 5" of lift, lifting shackles are usualy 2-3" that would give a min of 7" lift, and on a narrow vehicle can only result in tears!

Thanks Dan,

Guess I knew the standard ones answer, just wanted to hear it form someone with more SJ experience than I have. You never know.... so best to ask.

Thank you!
