Hello,

Can anyone tel me what thread size is the stud that comes off the body for mounting the rear shockers to. I think its M12 but not sure on the pitch

Seems to be quite a fine thread

Everytime i tighten a nut onto it it strips the nut of its threads so i think the threads on the stud are damaged

I have got some daft set up at min where the mounting point for the shockers is lowered so i can use standard shockers, need tome extended shockers really

nice one scotty. I noticed that they fit so i ''borrowed'' one nut from each half shaft but ended up stripping them both

Any recomendations on a set of extensed rear shocks to fit a 2" lift? Some that use the original mounts so i can bin these lowered mounting points?

Scotty, i bought them nuts from muddyzook for the halfshafts, could do with replacing them anyway theyve been off a few times

Found these on bits4vits
http://www.bits4vits.co.uk/store/nuts-3 ... d_548.html

These have nylock thread so shouldnt come loose

The nuts i had on the shockers previously did come loose and started rattling, do you think its because they werent nylock or didnt have the locking washers like on the halfshafts?

Those you linked to are m10 so too small ;)

I've never had a problem with those bolts coming loose, you could use spring washers or nylocs to prevent it happening though.

As for shocks I run kyb excel-g shocks, seem to do the job for a budget. Might be worth contacting them to see if they do a similar valving and mounts to stock but longer.
