Hi, has any one got tappet settings for an 96 SJ mine is rattaling like a gooden, its not ant thing important but I need to get them set :roll:

i just did mine till they just touch but i think its .20 of a mm. Someone might correct me on that though!

It has taken me ages to find my haynes book, but now i have:

8-valve engine
Intake
cold......0.13 to 0.17mm
Hot.......0.23 to 0.27mm
Exhaust
cold......0.16 to 0.20mm
Hot.......0.26 to 0.30mm

Thanks for the info lads, now I,ll get stuck in and set them, its a good job in the hot sun shine ( I live in Southern Spain} thanks again
