cutting the back off my sj410 van type

i want to cut the roof off my sj its the van type body i know id have to strengthen the remainder of the roof im just wondering if there are any problems i will encounter doing this or should i keep it as a van.
i jus love the fast back look and ive got some wicked ideas about the pick up part off the truck??

As far as i am aware you shouldnt have any problems provided you can cut in a straight line. you may wana keep an aye on any sharp adges as the MOT man doesn't like them, but the body is not a structual part of the SJ so no problems in that respect.

As has been said, get a soft top and a fast back top. So much less hassle.

Also, if I had a van, I'd want to keep it that way. There aren't too many of them about and whilst i own a soft top and have driven it from Essex to wales and back and to the Lakes and came back from the Lakes in a van, the van was soooo much quieter and warmer and nicer to be inside of.

I would not want to move from a hard top again.

Just my thoughts.
