Hi guys! gosh its been a while...
Hope everyone is well?
Sorry to say I havnt been here in ages :( Uni work etc eating up all my time.
however not so much time that i cant still wander off the beaten track every now and then
anyway, during one of these offroad wanderings, my truck developed a strange vibration, only noticable at high speed (I say HIGH speed, I mean SJ high speed in the 50mph region!) I can feel it in the steering wheel and the accelerator peday, Ive checked all the obvious places like motor and transfer mounts, and all the driveshafts and axles... Im stumped!
I figured Id fit a steering damper, as I ditched the original unit when I fitted power steering... thatd probly help out with the vibration aswell as smooth out the road...
and when summer comes (IF it comes this year) Il be chopping and welding and painting me zook
I plan to cut out half the rear tub and fit a fuel tank (50L) recessed into the floor. Il replace the inner wheel arches cus theyre ROTTEN! And fit some new flared on the outside, probably some anus or defender ones... then respray the whole thing... Dodge Viper Red
Im also planning a rear disc conversion using Ford F150 brakes and rotors.
Anyone done a rear disc conversion? Anything I should look out for?
Cheers!
Sam
