I personally don't have a locker fitted (yet) but have driven sjs with lockers.

Those are more of an 'unlocker' they are locked until you try to go around a corner on dry tarmac etc. And the sort of ratchet.

How much do you drive on road? I've heard they can give some interesting driving characteristics on road and be a bit unpredictable bit they are by all means not 'undrivable' on road, you just need to adjust your driving style to suit them. Still not sure I would fit one of those if you intend to daily drive your sj but if its just a weekend warrior then go for it.

The only negative might be that you loose a bit of your turning circle but the positives outweigh that.
