Re: Thunderbird 4
The roof came with it when i bought it and is getting ditched
I think it looks like one of these stock car fins lol
Its actually stamped Range Rover and I think its probably been a boot protector at one time.

Re: Thunderbird 4
Had the whole weekend putting bits on this one
new front springs
30mm wheel spacers
265/75 x 16 Bronco Dirt Devils
410 transfer box with drum handbrake
5 paddle offroad clutch
new winch wire
Albright winch solenoid
Winch isolator switch
New winch wander lead and remote system.
and a nearly new 750 CCA battery I acquired out of the works van thats about to be scrapped
couple more small things to do then hopefully the big trial run next weekend at Drumclog
Pics were taken before the new springs were fitted so its a couple of inches higher now

Re: Thunderbird 4
This one only cost me £300
Going to try and find a pair of 3.9 SJ413 diffs for it to go with the 410 box and see if that will make it low enough geared for these tyres.
I was thinking about a rock lobster but a bit pricy for my shallow pockets so hopefully the diffs and 410 box will do the job.
If not I'll look at the Vitara 5.1 diffs.
Then plan to weld both diffs and fit manual front hubs
and fit rear discs
Other than that and maybe twin hoop roll cage I think that'll do for this one.
