Distriutor

Post by dcallaghan2011 » Fri Oct 21, 2011 5:57 pm

Hi, on sunday i am planning to pick up a vitara 8 valve carb engine to do a conversion in my SJ. I was wondering what distributor i should use as the engine i am getting comes with one, i have read in some places to use the 1.6 one and in other places to use the 1.3 one. if i use the 1.3 one would i need to do anything to the timing or something like that and if i used the 1.6 one would i need to adapt any of the wiring?

thanks,

dan

Use the 1.6 one  wiring should be the same but if the colours don't match post up and ill talk you through what goes where if you want.

Yeah it's dead easy.... there's only like 5 or 6 wires...
