well bought the truck in september and 1st job was to find a new engine due to a broken con rod and sounding like a bag of spanners
with the help of a good freind ed (and some builders with a fork lift ) we had the old engine out and the new one in 5 hrs latter started first try yippee the pheniox had arisen time for a test drive a few meters round the car park
a few days latter we took it for a proper test drive

yeah it was such a good feeling it was dark and we were working my torch light to get it finished i had a little while left in the uk so went and found some green lanes locally for a proper test a mate with a defender 90 came along in his words to "rescue" me at the end of that trip it was 6-1 to me
it was a good trip out with lots of mud and laughter mainly at the defender driver a good trip out by all time to clean down pack up and head home to franceawaiting the next adventure

now back in france and my work shops it's time to give her some tlc so i started with some bits fitted new cd player painted light surrounds opps gave her panda eyes
so to right this painted the rest of the grill black and add spot lamps then painting the wings black and the trim redawaiting the next adventure

i was a bit worried when i first thought of black and red but your right it looks good

another productive day in the work shop
bonnet removed rubbed down and painted rubbed down front to back over the top and then masked off every thing (2 rolls of masking tape latter) then added the red ready for the black tomorrow

other stuff achived whilst waiting for paint to dry
cd player and 3 extra speakers fitted and working
cb radio fitted (just waiting for my ariel to arrive be here in time for christmas they said)
door strap lenthened spot lights wired in and working so a good day in all roll on tomorrow so i can paint what i've preped
