Stuck-on front number plate falls off

Hi… I’m new to Suzuki Club, just purchased Suzuki Vitara 1.6 2015…
First thing I’ve done is replace the number plates with nice pristine new ones.
I don’t like ugly screw head protrusions spoiling nice flush plates so I prefer to fix plates to my cars using the double-side sticky tape/pads.
Rear plate sticks fine. Nice and solid. But front plate fell off within few hours even though car stationary throughout that period.
So I’m wondering if there’s some kind of non-stick coating on the front bumper which prevents the sticker staying on?
Does anyone have any knowledge on this, and/or advice (other than… just screw it on)?
Thanks in advance for any thoughts.
Philip.

Try a different brand of double sided tape.

I use the No More Nails tape and my plate has been attached for 6 years.

You must ensure that the double-sided tape is for outdoor use.
3M do a tape with red backing that is for sticking plastic moldings and trim to side panels and doors...it's very good.

Agree with KerryJim, a good brand of sticky pads should do it. Used them on my old Seat Leon with no issues
