Went for MOT today. Had some major wheel wobble develop on the way. Just said sod it, i’ll take it anyway and see if it gets picked up on MOT as a bearing or something.

When i got there his brake tester was knackered and all MOTs were cancelled.

Rebooked for next saturday. Have a look at this wheel wobble today.

Did you get to the bottom of the wheel wobble?

Yeah, fairly sure it was because i removed the steering damper. It may not technically be required for MOT but the difference to how it handles was astounding.

Driving on smooth tarmac was fine, hit a pot hole or speed hump and it was as if all the bearings and wheel nuts had come loose at once.

Refitted it and went for a drive over the same pot holes and speed humps, hit them at 30mph and just kept on going.

Pretty much ready, few minor things, check oil levels, need to get an o ring for the diff lock air line.

Chuffed, ready to go.

New o ring arrived so i re-piped the diff lock in.

Gonna get some air line fittings tomorrow so i can run a tyre inflator off the diff lock compressor.
