Over the years I've had to replace my SJ pillar mount aerial several times due to low car ports, shrubbery etc.
I've always replaced the whole unit with the new cable back to the radio, which as you know can be a right pain.
However, this time I checked the mount carefully and realised that the actual antenna unscrews, doh!
So, just a 1 minute job to swap out old to new
SJ Aerial Tip, Literally!
