Maximum tyres for a standard sj410?

Hi guys,

Got a sj410 and tested it tonight by taking it up the motocross track, it did really well until the tyres turned into slicks! :hahaha:

I want to change the tyres to something more suited to off road.

I've looked the the stickied thread here but there was no definitive answer:

I have 15 inch rims and currently 195/75r15.

The reason i want to go bigger is to get that little extra ground clearance.

Also any pointers on where's the cheapest place to get them from I would appreciate it.

P.s. I want cheap, not something that will last 40,000 miles!

215/75r15 fit with no mods and 235/75r15 will fit with some slight trimming to the bumper mounts and you might also have to limit the steering a tiny bit depending on the tyres.

Maxxis bighorn tyres are cheap for a premium brand, not much more than a lot of remoulds tbh.

Have you considered remoulds from http://www.camskill.co.uk ?

Thanks for the help guys,

Would a 30 9.5 r15 fit a standard? I've seen some local and cheap.

235/75/15s usually measure around 29-30" so that should give you a good idea

With some trimming and the steering lock limited they might.

Courior has about 1.5" lift and spacers and 30x9.5s...
Plenty of upward travel space, but as scott says you might need to limit the steering lock without spacers
