Strange Request - Help with FOR SALE Advert! :)

Post by jmods » Thu May 21, 2015 1:55 pm

Will try and be concise!

Live on a Tropical Island, where cars are VERY expensive to import therefore lots of old cars are kept running and car are VERY expensive.

Arrived two years ago. Couldn't afford a car or to rent one so saved up for what I could afford which was a very old SUZUKI SAMURAI.

Bought it for 2.400 Pounds (converted - bought it in local currency)

Going to put it on sale for same price - SO.....can you help me write a FOR SALE advert? Basically I want a good way of saying...something along the lines of:.....Old but reliable car for sale. Had it and have not encountered any problems - Have not had to change any parts and car has 4 new tires and a new battery. Has recently passed MOT (which cost me a fair bit of money) and has almost a year MOT left on it.

Want to say that but in an appealing way-Of course I want to sell it.

Also, the car has quite a few faults, like the passenger window doesn't work, chipped paint, some rust, seat belt a little difficult to pull, bit difficult to get into the back seats as passenger seat doesn't really move forward, etc....

SO BASICALLY - you experts, can you help me phrase an advert that will interest people??!!

Thanks!

Here is my thread with the car:
