bad day yesterday.

Post by bencotterell » Fri Apr 04, 2014 3:22 pm

So yesterday my plan was to bleed up the brakes on my Lil sj. Started bleeding brakes up and the pedal went solid with the nipple fully open kept trying few different things but still solid took for test drive brakes worked fine so left it. while my mate was under the car he noticed a puddle of oil. As far as can tell its rocker cover so need to get new gasket. Then noticed a nail in the tyre got tyre changed over to a spare i had. Then to top it all off on my way to work the throttle cable snapped.
yesterday was a bad day

Does the oil look like its coming from the back of the head and running down the bell housing area. If so it might be the dizzy housing oil seal as they are quite common.

Just make note of which way the rotor arm is pointing before and make sure you get it back on the same tooth as not to upset the timing.
