My Little SJ, may the work begin!

Post by powell1832 » Thu Aug 13, 2009 8:06 pm

So I bought my first little SJ in July, I went to take a look and asked the usual questions.... One of which was - Is there any rust? Silly Question really!

So this is what it looked like when I first got it!

Yeah it's not too bad, just need to get the welding done before I move on List goes as follows:

1) Welding
2) Respray a nice deep red
3) Wheel colour change (black I think)
4) Add a leaf
5) SU Carb
6) tinkering under the bonnet
7) Nice red Dash!
8) new steering wheel
7) New gear lever knob (all matching racing ones in red)

No doubt the list will get a lot longer!

The Sills are good. I can't wait to get the welding done so that I can get cracking. I am even thinking of giving it a go myself, but don't want to splash out on a MIG if I am crap at it!

Henry yours is Not bad on the outside, thinking of checkerplate on mine on the inside,

Like the arches, fancy some defender ones but they are a bit pricey!

Cut the rot out, stop it spreading! You have a very tidy truck... look after it!
