Still not too much rust under there!

Started to find where the rust was all hiding as i took off the inner arches!
Rear's not too bad. Bit worse at the front where it joins the front panel behind the headlights etc.
Sills have been replaced on this before and I was started to get think it was a bit of a bodge...

On closer inspection, the main section of sill was done ok, just a bit bodged where it meets the arches. But I'm cutting this all back to do properly anyway so quite happy in the end :smokin:

Ha! Yes I welcome your jealousy with open arms! :hands:
TIG's definitely the coolest right? If only I could convince my wife!

But anyway, bit more progress today, and as I found out it was the most knackering job to do on your lonesome! Especially when you can't get the bloody bolts out of the rear spring eyes!! :argh:

Nice work, but I'm wondering why new wheels have got balancing weights on them...shouldn't they be nice and round?

Nothing unusual there. New wheels generally are quite round yes, but the weights balance out the wheel and tyre assembly. Tyres are never perfectly round or balanced, may not quite sit 100% centre on the wheel, and the valve's off centre with it's hole in the wheel. All wheel/tyre assemblies should be balanced after fitting together. Even new ones.
