I *think* - don't quote me on this - that if you alter your car's suspension, you're technically supposed to register your car as a "radically altered vehicle" because it's altering the way the car handles in an emergency.

To be honest, almost every vehicle owned by an SCUK member should be put though that test. But the reality is that the DVLA operate a "don't ask, don't tell" policy on such things - they'll do you if you take the mick (a tube buggy made out of an SJ chassis is going to raise eyebrows cruising on the roads).

But minor mods - they don't really want the paperwork. Can you blame them?

Some SJs don't have them anyway. Plus, SJs are that old now that most people don't know anything about them.
