Anti roll bars?

Post by kingo228 » Wed Nov 27, 2013 4:25 pm

My sj has still got the anti roll bar on the front.? Should I remove this? My sj has aftermarket leaf springs and pro comp shocks with 31" tyres?

Thanks

You can take it off no problem, it will give you a little bit more travel on the front suspension

First thing I did to mine was remove the anti-roll bar ;)

I've heard that if your MOT man knows it should be fitted with one and it's not then you can fail, what lift is on it? My calmini kit came with ARB kit that drops the bar down to suit the lift,

All depends on your MOT man. Mine never questioned it when I took it off.

Ive never had anyone question it at MOT time either...
I can't remember who (maybe andyrew?) but I remember someone chopped and welded their anti roll bar only the standard bumper as a small "A" bar!!

My bro has his anti roll bar welded to his winch tray as extra protection.

technically they can if it was on the vehicle originally!
if the tester is an arsehole and knows a bit about SJs they could fail you on it, but I doubt they would!
