According to a mate of mine the rules have been changed for bikes and they no longer need silencers. All my MOT tester tells me is my Zuk can't be any louder than a similar car of similar age. So where do i stand on straight thru' pipes?

Jordi
Straight throughs are pretty loud. It'd depend on the tester.
There's three ways of doing things:

The right way,
The wrong way
And my way, which is like the wrong way but faster.

I agree with Edd it depends on the tester, some days you get good ones, some days you get right old shit ones that rip your motor to crap.

i have a straight through on my sj and it goes into a 3.5 back box and it loud very loud i have to wear ear defenders when we open it right up otherwise its crazy  , but i got it moted like it and it went through first time mot tester didnt even batter an eyelid

Mine is pretty loud. 2" pipe all the way and a small silencer.

I got it made of mild steel being a cheap ass. But the VHT paint is cak and it keeps on rusting. If i get it stainless without silencer its quite a bit cheaper. I'll give it some thought. Thats well down the line. Its on the "want" list not the "need" list. Lol.
