clean samurai, sj416, open to offers.

Post by mk1joe » Sat Nov 22, 2014 2:58 pm

Hello,

I think it may be time for me to cut my losses. I Have a Suzuki samurai, ive spent incredible amounts of time and money on it to turn it into my dream car. its nearly there but it needs more work on it and I don't have anywhere to finish the work. its heart breaking, but it would be more heart breaking to not do the work to the standard it deserves. alternately I do have storage space so I could keep it but I wouldn't be able to finish it any time soon, so that's why im just testing the water here and see if anyone else loves it as much as I do.

unfortunately it needs the head gasket doing, I know its the easiest job in the world I just don't have anywhere to do it. it still runs, drives, idles fine, theres just oil in the water.
ive put it into a garage recently for its mot, I have a small list of failures, small spots of rust, I can send a photocopy of the failure sheet on request and pictures of the areas that need attention.

now for the fun bits!

the paint has been professionally done, it cost me £1000, its grabber blue, a ford mustang colour.
the fastback roof is 100% brand new, it also comes with its original hard top
sweet recaro seats, incredibly comfy, good condition.
vitara 8v engine, fitted with the proper adapter plate to the samurai gearbox
decent wheel spacers (they cost me a bit)
although it failed its mot on rust, the bodywork is completely mint, its such a small amount of rust
bull bars have been powder coated
matching tyres are all good tread,
even has its orrigional carpet which is a rarity

PM me if your interested:)
sensible offers...
Joe

Keep it, your have a hell of a job finding another tidy one if you ever want another.
I assume that's your drive/garden, so what about this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/6-x-3-M-Heavy ... 1c3ba7180e just to get the work done.
Keep it or flog it on afterwards.

If it's your dream car,you can't let it go.

Yea, it's mum and dads garden. What I want to do is keep it in there garage so I can take my time with the work on it. I want to take the engine out so I can paint the engine bay and put a 16v in it. And do everything to the pristine standard I want it.

But mum won't let me keep it in the garage so I can't.

Could you wrap it in a tarpaulin and tuck it out of the way at the back of mum's garden for a while?

Mum won't let me have any cars at her house. Despite having lots of room... I could keep it in storage if I don't get the right price, (obviously won't let it go cheap.) But I also don't have lots of time to spend on it at the moment.

If someone wants to have this off me badly, now is the time.

What Robbie said.

And no offense to your mum but why on earth would she object to you keeping a car there?

Alternatively it would be better for me, if someone has a workshop space in Chichester they could rent me.
