steering Z bar
Re: steering Z bar
Sounds a bit of a bodge really tbh. Something as critical as steering. I would spend the £200 on a proper kit but if there's a perfectly good cheap alternative then I would do that instead.
Re: steering Z bar
Doesn't matter. Spoke to rob storr today and ordered one.

Aha so RS Engineering is Rob. I'm going to call him too, think I need one of these on the LJ, hit a pebble and it's all over the place.
If it ticks over...leave it
Re: steering Z bar
Christoff, did you get locking nuts for the track rod ends in your robb storr kit? I've got mine but no locking nuts for the track rods, so nothing to stop them moving/adjusting themselves.

Well I called him and he answered!
Kit arrived but no instructions and I'm shaking my head at how to fit this. Going to call him back!

Re: steering Z bar
Your lucky.
I just got my full float kit, eventually, and the shafts are just bits of tube with a thread tapped in each end.
They haven't been machined to my mind.
I did get the machined adaptors though.
