The inlet elbow on our weber carb. is stopping the bonnet closing properly and rubbing through. Does anyone out there know if there is a small power bulge available , so we can cut through the bonnet and weld it on to give clearance for the inlet elbow.?? Thanks in anticipation Gaz,s dad.

Can you not make a simple one out of sheet metal if you want to weld it on or have you tried looking on ebay for a cheap fiberglass one you can rivet on?

Local motor factors has them, ebay etc. Do not cut a hole in the bonnet!
If it ticks over...leave it
