1.6 into a 1992 samurai

Post by Josh-holden » Thu Nov 13, 2014 5:00 pm

Iv got a 1992 samurai. What do I need to do to put the 1.6 engine in? What mods do I need to do? Roughly how much would it cost? Is it easy? Any help would be great

You need the flywheel from the1.3, a conversion plate, or you can redrill the holes in the block to line up with the bottom holes in the gearbox. A skinny starter motor, or grind a bit off the block and starter and to move the drivers side mount. Some people make new bolts for the gearbox, I didn't but I'm sure someone will tell you how
Sid James gone but never forgotten
Jimny 1.6 not as good as an SJ but still good
