Re: Kawazonkey
Been going through this thread again as I know there was a point I needed clarifying.
So a quote from Anton reads...
To start with, you have to take a compusory test (CBR test, I think it is). I passed one of those years ago, but it only lasts a year, and during that year you're restricted to 4 stroke 125's max, and have to have an L plate.
Matey you aren't restricted to 4 strokes only, it's just that due to EU emissions tests a 2 stroke would never pass. That's why none are made new anymore. You can however find some cheap 2 stroke lil' screamers on ebay for maybe £1000, like Suzuki RG125, Yamaha RD etc, even Cagiva Mito's (look like a Ducati 916 and good for 100mph).
Hope you are feeling a bit better and if you decide to get a licence get a 2 stroke 125!! More fun than a fun thing....

Re: Kawazonkey
Some good news, rear caliper seals are the same size as the fronts! I ordered some friday and they arrived today, well quick service. So I'll give those to my mate to fit...he's polished the screen and it looks brand new! I'll pop up some low res pics tomorrow. Oh and I have some new indicators, given up trying to fix the crappy fake carbon ones that are on there at the moment...a new set (all four) cost £6.95 including post. Can't even buy four bulbs for that price!!

Re: Kawazonkey
I'm adapting the existing indicator brackets so the new ones fit...and another caliper repainted!

Re: Kawazonkey
Both indicator brackets are done and they are on, I think they look great, much better than Kawasaki ones. And I had a quick test fit of the nose fairing before I paint it, looking good so far...

Re: Kawazonkey
I'm so close to finishing the bike but have been having problems with paint. Because of so much moisture in the air in my garage every time I paint a panel it ends up with a thin film of damp on it, ruining everything, even with 3 hot air fans pointing at it!
So tonight I took home the nose fairing and lacquered it. Newspaper on every kitchen surface and the floor and it stunk like hell but it worked! Will get a pic when I have better light tomorrow.

Re: Kawazonkey
Might not bother, I like the clean look. If I do it'll just be some Kawasaki ZXR400 ones I saw on ebay. Plonked the nose fairing on, wow I am so close to finishing this, just hope I get a nice sunny day for the MOT and a test run!

Re: Kawazonkey
Thanks Scottie, I just wish people could see it in the flesh. I think this has been my best rebuild to date, and I've done a few...
