off road

Post by j and j » Fri Mar 26, 2010 8:14 pm

Got a 410 a few weeks ago, bog standard as my son wants to try something new. Realisticly are we going to get around an off road course as it is, as I dont have masses of time to do loads of mods at the moment and would like to enjoy some time using it and do bits and bobs along the way.

in short yes.

the best mod you can do to a totally standard 410 is a set of mud tyres.

no bigger than 215/80 r 15.the best size for a standard car,

tony. :P

tyres are a must...no matter the mods,..without the tread you ain't goin to make the mud holes :P

anything after that you can improve on at your leisure. 8-)

oh..... :welcome: to THE forum
one thing I will add though is just a little driving advice.... start slow and get the feel of your sj and the terrain, but always keep your thumbs on the outer of the wheel as the steerin can snatch which could bruise or even break the thumbs.
(not ment to worry....just inform 8-) ).
ITS NOT LEAKING OIL...........SHE'S MARKIN HER TERRITORY!!!!!!!!

my ride.........:4eye:

+2 lift....grizzley boots is all i need!

well done in becoming a suzuki owner, as the other have said.... yes you will be fine, I went offroading in my friends 410 when it was about standard

like they everyone said, the tyres are the important thing, but even A/T tyres (all terrain) should see you through,

Cheers for the tips fellas. Wasn't expecting quite such positive feedback. Got some almost new heavy duty road/mud tyres as i bought it with these fitted, but will probably get some 'proper' tyres once these are scrubbed.
Been getting muddy green laning at the moment! but hope to go offroading in a few weeks :P
Will post some pics when camera working and i can figure how to post.

 welcome to the forum

As the others have said you cant go wrong with a standard 410 on a good set of M/Ts. You'll find that a lot of people prefer the 410s to the 413s and sammys. i'm sure the bug will bite and int wont stay standard for long though
