yea going in friday to have the letter done for the engine, and send off the log book then mot, last 2 big things are doors and seats and a few other things, like radio and some switch wiring,
i wanted to have the winch and bumper for the front sorted, but due to lack of $$$$ sadly not, will have to cobble some thing temp for now, shame

Good day all,
Thursday - we had trouble starting the kja, wouldn't tick over, running like a bag of bolts. strange as it was running loverly. but thinking about it its never ran perfect every time I've started it, so we decided to change the su carb for a old one i had there. Turns out there is some thing up with the carb we took off, it now starts on the button very time, ticks over nice and sweet - great, so going to strip the newer one to find out whats wrong. plus looked further into it and the water pump gasket is leaking so I'm just going to replace the pump next week.
Friday - My dad takes the kja to the garage (me working) to get the letter done for the dvla, called by today to get the letter off him, he said everyone in the garage stopped what they where doing to go and look at the kja, wanted to know everything, is that a winch, can we see it tip, how does that work, tell us everything ect. any way, an hr and £26 later the letters done, all sorted ready to post monday. so hopefully shouldn't be long to get that back and its MOT time. Few things to finish but the garage reckoned it should fly the mot.

Wouldn't worry about getting an mot before the logbook is changed anyway. They don't check.

Good morning,
After getting my hands on a garage opposite me house where I can work on the kja any time, I came across a problem, it's to high to fit in.
So I'm in the process of dropping it back down to spring under axle and I di kinda prefer the way it looks, I've done the front, all ok but
Doing the rear I've encountered a problem, when I dicided where everything should go, I had loads of space, so I moved the petrol tank
Now, after dropping it the diff is going to hit the petrol tank, not sure which way to go about it, as I can't move it any way but up,
Either lift the rear bed and then lift the tank out the way
Or make or have one made to suit,
Or modify the existing
Are there any rules or regs regarding petrol tanks,

Presume its just common sense stuff. Probably just best to get a custom made one that fits given how much time and effort you've already put into everything around it.
Or get some really small tyres on some old rims to put it in and out of the garage.

Finished lowering it tonight, tanks a problem, and the beds a problem,
Balls, can't upload photos, file to big
I'm going to lift the whole bed 75mm , which will give the rear wheels the space they need, and lower the window guard by 75mm so it lines up with the cab again. Easy, my dads getting the steel tomorrow, so by the weekend it should be done.
Now the tank then will be able to be raised as well along with the filler cap, I've got about a 2 inch gap there already so should have the room. will have to see how it goes,
I thought about smaller wheels, but I like the ones on it,
But at the end of the day it's now under 71 inches and that means it can fit in the damn garage,
probably did me a favour cos I've always worried a bit about the spoa, felt like it was going to tip over.
Pluss I think it looks a bit more badass lowered lol
