Re: vitara sort out
brakes and suspension are in pretty bad shape so some new bits going in here including ludicrously expensive wishbones!

Re: vitara sort out
Coming on nicely.
What made you go for brand new wishbones? I'm sure you could have got some good ones for a fraction on the price second hand.
Lucky with the wire, about and inch left. I'd get a 5kg 0.6 and 0.8 on order, a bit for stock.
Crack on, and you can't have too many pics. We all like pics

Re: vitara sort out
cheers guys thought it was jus better to bite the bullet with the wish bones second hand ones never going to be great especially with rust already present at least with these I can give em a nice coat of paint and waxoil the insides and can be sure their gonna be good for as long as i've got it anyway I use 0.8 don't bother with 0.6 cos I don't weld thin stuff very often and cant be bothered swapping over that's why its all stitch welded
Re: vitara sort out
You'll have it all welded up and sorted before you know it!! not sure I've ever seen so much rust under the front of a vit are you by the sea or is there just loads of salt used on the roads up where you are in the winter?
Re: vitara sort out
not sure to be honest bought it over in fife and it wasn't right on the coast, was owned by a woman who used it to transport her trials bike around about once a month where it was before that I dunno but I wish they'd hosed underneath now and then!
