Hey Alex,
Just stopped by and saw that you had a project going. Just from the looks of the last page that VW is really nice. The paint looks great too. Haven't seen one modified like that since the 70's.
Haven't read the entire build sorry if you covered this already but what are you going to use it for and where did you get the idea from?
Terry

Hi Terry
It's a friend's Beetle, it was made like that in South Africa, a company there specialized in the Bug pick up. It was a right mess but the old girl has cleaned up quite nicely. Pretty sure he'll be selling at at the next VW show.
Nice to hear from you again, hope the Zuk on 38's is coming along!

Re: not a build thread as yet...but...
The last piece of the puzzle arrived today, a new tail pipe. As usual it's all tits up as it's longer than the one I have...got Mr Angry out and cut it down. All fitted now and ready to go. FINALLY.

Now I'm wondering if I should paint my SJ!
1985 SJ413VX (SJ50V) with SPOA, rear disc brakes, 31x10.5R15 Kaiman Malatesta tyres, an MOT and a lot left to do!

HAHAHA! I love the picture of it leaving. "And good riddance!"
There's three ways of doing things:
The right way,
The wrong way
And my way, which is like the wrong way but faster.
