Unloved and Lonely
Unloved and Lonely
Found this poor unloved little LJ80 in a scrapyard in Nicosia Cyprus. Well knocked about but nearly complete before we started taking the bits needed for our LJs. Just a bit of rust on the front floor pans.

Re: Unloved and Lonely
I know you mentioned it elsewhere Tony, but what did you take? Or more importantly, what did you leave behind?
Re: Unloved and Lonely
Hello Geoff. Bits still there- Rolling chassis ( Not rusty) Body Battered ( Easy restored) Screen, wipers. Engine/ gearbox ( Carb missing and we had the dizzy) Wheels still there. Steering wheel and column ( I took the steering box) Both front wings( front left badly crunched)Cyprus Geoff wrote:I know you mentioned it elsewhere Tony, but what did you take? Bits we took- Grill, seats, lights, doors, tailgate, dizzy. bonnet.
Body needs both front floors( They all do and both the ones we have need to be done) Front left wing , needs a replacement one finding. The rest is pretty good but needs going over.
I haven't decided if I am going to use my bonnet or the one from the yard, they are much the same so there could be one going spare. I will use the new tailgate as my old one has been filled ( Dent not rust) will sort without to much trouble .
Botton line - Could be restored but will take a bit of time ( And money) A lot less rusty than anything you will find in the UK. Worth doing I think but talk to Scottie and ask his option if you thinks you might have a go at restoring.
