Acne, long hair and a hell of a lot of Dr. Pepper

It can only mean one thing.....A TEENAGER!!

Yeah, hello Suzuki Club UK.

As you might have guessed from my username, I'm called Edward, and I'm a wierdo. I'm here because I don't want a normal car when I turn 17 this coming september. I don't really fancy folding myself into a Vauxhall Corsa, or spending hours trying to find my lost Clio in the local Tesco car park. I want a Zook.

I've been hell bent on a Suzi ever since I saw one on a youtube video alongside a pair of Landie Disco 300TDi's (Of which we have two. Stepdad's got a 3.9 V8, Mum's got a 2.5 TD).

My Stepfather rented a Samurai whilst we were on a DIY trip to the holiday villa in Turkey, which we drove from Dalaman Airport, 250 miles west and a little north to the house near Kusadasi. We did a further 300 or so miles or so during that week, then drove the 250 miles back again. Now, despite the rattles and the less then brilliant ride, I loved it. That trip 'sealed the deal' as it were. I thought that little Sammy was brilliant. It was nippy at low speeds, handled quite well (despite everything I've heard) had plenty of space (even with the rear seats in, 'cause we just put stuff on the seats :P)

Now I'm getting closer to 17, I decided it's time to start looking around for a Zuke of my own.

Idealy I would like a 413 Samurai, Fibre-glass top, in red, with no off road mods like; winches, lift kits, transmission fiddles, bigger wheels and tyres, removed bumpers etc. A long-ish MOT would be preferable, but anything more than 'a fortnight next tesday' (if you know what I mean). The less rust and knocks etc. the better. I don't plan on serious offroading, maybe the odd field or gree lane, (hence the not wanting off-road mods) though I do not plan on wiping it completely off the prospectos.

Thanks, and I hope you find me a worthwile member of the club

Hello Mr. Wierd,
I was alot like you at your age, well almost at 16 I wasn't bothered about cars and I was going to ride motorbikes all my life! but when my mate got a suzuki 410 I was hooked and wanted one, I like YOu wanted no mod's nice original example with little to no rust, I suppose that is what Everyone who wants an SJ looks for, I paid slightly over the odd but got a nice little modified example, with average milage, I then made the mistake of hanging around on forums like this  all of a sudden my little plain zook wasn't enough for me and I had to start changing thigs and improving things. I am by no means a mud wallower, My sj was lucky and spent alot of time on the road running me to work and doing the general chores, and then i thought 'i need new tyres, wouldn't it look good with bigger tyres' so new tyres were ordered, and then 'the tyres look to big for the car if I fit a lift kit things would look better and It would look so much better for scaring grannys in the supermarket car park' so then came a lift kit, and then I thought 'these tyre are to big for the transmission, Its to slow accelerating and i can't cope in 5th gear' so new low ratio transferbox was fitted and TA DA all of a sudden my plain suzuki that i was really happy with is now the same but slightly bigger!
I suppose its all about personality when it comes to your modifications I'am happy with my sj now and wouldn't do anything else just yet, well maybe a winch if i could hide it behind the original bumper

good look with your search

Luke
