Replace or Repair?

I have been pondering what to do with a van body I've just bought. I've been debating which electrical loom to use. The one in the van won't fit on my Santana's instrument cluster. But the loom on the Santana won't fit the van (no controls for rear wiper etc) and the fact that it has been completely butchered by a previous owner. As a result, I've been thinking about re-wiring the entire car myself. I know it can be done, as I know someone that has made his own loom for a MG Roadrunner.
So what do you guys think? Should I just patch up the Santana loom or start from scratch in the van? I'm not after a 'showroom condition' I just want it to be done properly.

I'd just add the extra wiring required to you santana loom.

Not sure on which way to go but...........
Spanish and Jap built use different fuel gauge senders (I think)
and therefore probably need the gauge to match the tank.
Also some use a different temperature senders which also need to match the gauge.
Not sure what you have just brought, or which bits are going on.
Just another couple of thing to consider.
I'm sure the group will have some better ideas..
As for things like the rear wiper I don't think it would take much to sort out.

The donor car is a SJ410 VBJA and the current one is a SJ410 J Santana.
Just curious, but what's the letters (VBJA and J) after the SJ410 mean?

Mines a vbja and is jap built, check the chassis number, vse is Spanish, jsa is jap.

Why not just use the entire loom, cluster, stalks and senders from the van if you have them all?? The jap loom is better in my opinion and has a better fuse box.

The van had spent it's last few years in a breakers yard. There are several bits of the dash missing. I suppose I could use the bits off the van, but it would mean trying to find all of the missing bits.
