1.3 SUZUKI SWIFTGTI TWIN CAM INTO A SJ

Post by Angie » Fri Jan 15, 2010 6:35 pm

Hi, my tutor gave me a copy of this months practical performance cars, there is a several pages on fitting a swift engine in a lwb sj, found it quite interesting, was just wondering has anyone else done it, as looks a gd idea.

i think the swift block is the same as a 1.3 samurai. if thats the case the 1.0ltr sj gearbox wont fit.

i heard the swift block is the same, i also heard you need to get a 90* (cant find a degree symbol) adaptor for the distributer, or you have to cut a hole in the bulk head for it, personally i think you need the adaptor think of the ballache when it comes to changing the rotor cap!

he has used a distributor cap from a Mazda 323 turbo. The sump, oil pick up, flywheel and engine mounts came off the ohc. Exhaust Manifold off a vitara 1.6, only stud pattern needed changing. a in line fuel pressure pump from ebay. BUY THE DAM MAG!!!!!! lol
