Trouble getting Suzuki Maruti running

Post by j1 » Fri Jan 03, 2014 3:24 pm

Has anybody got any ideas I have a Suzuki Maruti 997cc with an aisan carburettor will start sometimes reluctantly, it has new points, new condensor, new distributor cap, timing correct, basically have tried everything I know. Very little fuel seems to be getting through to the cylinder. Sprayed fuel through manually and it is still reluctant to run. Carb cleaned out 3 times seems ok, float valve ok, valve timing ok, exhaust is clear, good spark, compression ok, fuel pump ok, all hoses renewed.

The fuel seems to want to come out of the carburetor rather than go to the cylinders.

Banging my head against the wall now!

where abouts is is coming out from the carb? there might be a slight blockage on the needle/jet what is causing it not to get fuel to the cylinders.

hi
well last time i resorted to spraying fuel into the carb after removing the air filter hose .
i did get a bit of a splutter but thats all .
under normal conditions it doesnt even try .no fuel on the plug or out of exhaust ,carb seems ok 2 me
float valve works and it has fuel in the float chamber wen i take it off.
baffled../,'#;
the suction on the inlet side is ok but the fuel drips out
