warning lights on when engine running

hi everybody just have nightmare and cant resolve the problem with warning lights on when anus is running i have suzuki samurai 1989 1.3 carburetor ,has anyone idea what it could be???thanks very much lads for your help

What light is it? If its a triangle with a exclamation mark on it you could be low on brake fluid.

Or is it you hazard lights coming on?

As above, check brake fluid. My reservoir seals went and everytime it got low the light came on.

thanks for quick reply all lights will stay on when i start the engine except oil one......hand brake light, triangle with a exclamation mark and battery charging light stays on.i checked battery charging is ok alternator ok brake fluid level near to maximum but i use dot4,brakes will need bleading i think. was playing with them coze i had brake cylinders stuck.it was ok couple weeks ago im just rebuilding this zuki and respraying it.i disconnected all lights just started it 4days ago to pull it in to the garage for spraying and found that problem.im booked for nct mot test next week so hopefully ill find the problem with your help lads.thanks

Did you disconnect the dashboard clock unit? They can do all sorts of weird stuff if they are shorting out...
