decided to bite the bullet and just get a new altertor. 53 squid for a delco unit :doublethumbs:

only problem is its a 30 amp unit. I believe the original is the same but will it be man enough?

now, I presume this pic is gonna come out sideways so ill apologise in advance lol

Hmm up to you. Id personally think about finding a bigger one if not then get that one.

yeah I was thinking bigger but dunno what would fit. is a 413 alternator a higher amp?

yeah in the process of calling our suppliers to see if they will do a one off custom alternator. want 60 amps ideally. a bit over engineered I know but it wont struggle that way

Yeah man. My local car electrical people rebuild/upgrade the internals of them. Not bad price either.

yeah not gonna bother with the 30 as it'll be too weak. However, there is a 300tdi one in the garage. It'll be either 65a or 100a! im gonna have to make it fit! :hack: :weld: :beer:
